In this simple tutorial, I will show you how to remove password from PDF files using Google Chrome. Most times we get those password protected PDF files from banks when they are sending our monthly bank statements or credit card statements.

They do this because it contain personal information and they do not want unauthorized people to open it. There are other places that does it but I’m just using bank as an example.

Google chrome has two built-in features that we can use to remove the password from the PDF file, PDF reader and PDF writer. We can combine them to remove password from any PDF files. Just follow these simple steps and you will be on your way to remove PDF passwords:

Step 1: Open your password protect PDF file in your Google Chrome browser. If that do not work try drag and drop it in your browser.

Step 2: Google chrome will now ask you to enter the password of the file. Enter the password and click “Submit” or press Enter to open the file.

Step 3: Then, choose Print from the “File” menu. If you do not see a File menu, look for the horizontal dots at the far top right-hand corner of your browser. Also, you can simple press “Ctrl + P” (Windows) or “Cmd + P” (Mac).

Step 4: On the left-hand side where destination is located, if your printer is selected, click “Change” and then click “Save as PDF“.

Step 5: Click “Save” and save it to any location you want.
